Aisling & Dean’s Chateau la Durantie Wedding
Destination Wedding Photography in France
Aishling and Dean’s wedding is the fourth wedding I’ve photographed at the wonderful Chateau la Durantie in France. It’s one of my favourite French wedding venues so it’s always a pleasure to go back, each wedding has been very different and Aisling and Dean’s was the largest with over 120 guests. The energy and love throughout the day was amazing!
Pre Wedding Photos in Excideuil
Their photography started the day before the wedding with a romantic portrait session in the local village Excideuil and a chance to help Dean relax in front of the camera. The light was amazing as we wandered around the rustic looking village choosing the best spots to stop for a few photos. (more pics coming soon)
Ceremony at Excideuil Saint Thomas
The next day we headed back to the same village, Aishling and Dean had chosen to have their wedding ceremony in the local church. The church was gorgeous, very old with high ceilings and ornate stained glass windows, the backdrop to the altar was stunning and it was a little cooler inside than out which was a welcome relief.
Celebrations at Chateau la Durantie
The rest of the celebrations took place back at the chateau with the reception on the lawn and the wedding breakfast in a marquee in the apple orchard. We took some time out and made the most of the great venue with some portraits around the grounds and in the chateau itself. Then it was back to the rest of the guests for a very lively party with one of the best bands I have heard in a long while. I loved their song choice for the first dance, an upbeat remix of Sam Smith’s Latch, it was so infectious that I really wanted to dance too!
Thanks so much Aishling and Dean for your lovely review and having me as your wedding photographer.
“Myself and my husband had Louise as our photographer for our wedding abroad in France. We recently got all of our photos back and we are overjoyed at how amazing they are. She captured every moment. She was there from start to finish and even stayed on a little longer than expected just happily shooting away. My husband hates the camera and is very shy. Louise was wonderful she really re-assured him, making him feel so relaxed and half the time he didn’t even know she was there. She took so many wonderful natural photos. The pictures are better than we could have ever imagined. She is such a lovely person and was so lovely to work with, it’s so wonderful watching her work you can really tell she loves her job and it’s shows in the quality of her photos. All of our friends and family have commented on how amazing they are. Thank you so much once again Louise you captured every special moment of the most important day of our lives. Much love Aishling & Dean x”
