Victoria Park Portraits and Celebrations at London Fields Brewhouse Wedding

Rachael & Chris’s London Fields Brewhouse Wedding

London Wedding Photography

Rachael and Chris were married on a lovely September day in East London. Preparations started at home for Rachael and her bridesmaids. I’d previously photographed the wedding of one of the bridesmaids, Hannah, it was great to see her again and find out that she was expecting a baby.

After a beautiful ceremony at St. John Of Jerusalem Church we headed to Victoria Park for some romantic portraits, not only is this a perfect portrait location but it’s also where Chris proposed so it holds a special place in their hearts. Even the rain as we had nearly finished didn’t affect the mood, Chris collected an umbrella from the taxi to keep Rachel dry and we then headed to London Fields Brewhouse for the rest of the wedding celebrations. The Brewery is under the railway arches, it makes a cool portrait location and means that the rain really doesn’t matter.

I thought it would be fun to ask Rachael and Chris to choose their personal favourites from their wedding gallery and to find out why they chose them…..

This was the image Chris chose and he says “I’ve got 2… but I am only allowed one! So I will go with the image where I am out of focus and Rach is walking down the aisle, in full focus. That is such an amazing memory – it was my biggest anticipation of the wedding, turning around and seeing Rach. It captures what I was feeling at the time, excitement and mystery of what she was going to look like!”

And Rachael words, “If I had to choose I would say the image in the church where I have just got to the top of the altar and Chris has his tongue in his cheek smiling – that makes me smile every time as it reminds me of the feeling I had when I saw him there!”

Rachael also went on to say if she could choose a second favourite it would be this one with her Dad, it perfectly shows their relationship in a single image.
