Jesus College Wedding – Fiona & Chris
It’s always so great when a fellow photographer can recommend you to one of her own friends, especially when that photographer is the Maid of Honour (No pressure!)
I didn’t actually meet Fiona or Chris until the wedding day but we all got on instantly, they are such a lovely couple, so easy going and relaxed.
This was my first wedding at one of the Colleges in Cambridge and I fell in love with the old world charm. It made me actually want to be an academic just so I could study at such a beautiful place!
The wedding was a joy, and I was so happy when the vicar allowed me to stand at the front of the chapel instead of up on the balcony. It was great capturing Fiona walk down the aisle and the cute, loving moments during the exchange of vows. I always respect the rules of the church or chapel I am photographing, but it’s always a little bit frustrating when restrictions are in place for photography. I was very thankful for being trusted to take my images from the front – such a lovely Vicar.
The rest of the day was a dream to photograph, with great backdrops for the formals and portrait session, and a stunning hall for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
Thank you to Sophie for recommending me and to Fiona and Chris for inviting me to be their photographer x
